Green Building Council

The Green Building Council South Africa is part of the larger World Green Building Council, dedicated to globally reducing carbon emissions through innovatively eco-conscious building methods and materials. Buildings account for approximately 40 percent of the world's electricity usage and 30 percent of the world's carbon emissions. Eva-Last sees huge potential by working with the Green Building Council to significantly reduce these percentages. Along with the Green Building Council, Eva-Last offers an environmentally-friendly and recycled alternative for outdoor building material. Eva-Last also promotes the Green Building Council belief that green building improves the standard of living and housing, by creating low-cost homes with reduced need for energy usage.

Eva-Last recognizes that the benefits of building green far outweigh the challenges. Eva-Last values its affiliation with Ecospecifier SA and sees it as an important step towards developing green building standards in South Africa.

Anker-Leschaco Group

Leschaco sees the critical role that transport can play in reducing carbon emissions. Since its establishment, Leschaco has set precedent in minimizing its carbon footprint for the transport industry. Eva-Last is proud to manufacture locally in South Africa, largely offsetting transport emissions associated with importing. However for international clients and exhibitions Eva-Last is only content to ship its cargo with a company as green as the Eva-tech material it freights. Therefore Eva-Last is proud to partner professionally with Leschaco, a transporting company with a history of working for the environment.

The Helderberg Built Environment Professionals Group aims to bring together influential contractors, builders, architects, suppliers, distributors and others in the South African building industry to discuss and compare new ways to incorporate environmental responsibility with efficient building techniques. Eva-Last sees its membership as a way to actively communicate with others in the industry and find opportunities to assist one another in the quest to preserve our environment.

AutoSpec allows homeowners, building professionals and large scale buyers to access an extensive on-line database of materials for home improvement, building and home decor. Eva-Last believes in utilizing electronic marketing forums, like AutoSpec, in order to reach a worldwide audience with minimal impact on the environment. The partnership between Eva-Last and AutoSpec is part of Eva-Last’s campaign to strictly limit paper usage in its administration and marketing.
