6. Why is Eva-tech not a structural material?

Eva-tech products are manufactured to provide the market with a durable and superior walking surface or railing system. Eva-tech profiles are formulated to weather very well, and help shield the substructure below from the natural elements. However other than the Eva-tech composite joist, for use on screed surfaces, Eva-tech products are not designed nor covered by the warranty for for structural use.

7. What colour range is Eva-tech offered in?

8. Does the colour fade away over time?

Eva-tech is designed to maintain its inherent colour throughout its entire lifetime. However up to ten percent of its initial colour may fade with the effects of sun and weathering. Most fading will occur within the first six months after installation.

9. Why is Eva-tech more expensive than wood?

Eva-tech saves you money in the long run by eliminating the need for expensive stains, sealants and labour. However its initial cost may be higher than some types of timber. This is due to the expenses incurred throughout the manufacturing process. Although the raw materials that create Eva-tech are recycled, the technology and expertise needed to produce a high quality composite invoke higher costs than simply cutting down trees. However over time Eva-tech will pay for itself in enjoyment and relaxation.

10. How heavy is Eva-tech material?

Eva-tech composite is about 50-70% heavier when compared with actual timber sections, with a specific gravity of about 0.96

All Eva-tech products come with a limited ten-year warrant. Eva-Last encourages you to register your warranty online immediately upon purchase of all Eva-tech products, and ensure that all Eva-tech installations adhere to the Eva-tech Installation Guidelines.
