ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with other departments in order to develop a sales strategy for enhancing the company’s growth.
  • Effectively create and articulate sales pitches and value propositions, train department in how to effectively communicate, and sell the product portfolio and assist with various negotiations.
  • Develop strategies for effective new product launches to achieve sales, market penetration, and profitability goals.
  • Lead training sessions on a monthly basis, this could range from small groups to large group presentations and development sessions.
  • Travel as required between and within Australia and New Zealand
  • Ensure high levels of professionalism and adherence to business processes
  • Ensure that the company meets its annual growth goals within the designated sales channels
  • Assist in building a high-performing sales process.
  • Ensure effective prospecting, up/cross selling, pipeline development, lead generation and effective conversions of leads, owning and improving the conversion ratios on opportunities
  • Develop strategies for the allocation of resources for the achievement of targets.
  • Manage current and develop new internal sales processes to drive efficiency and optimize the CRM system used in the region
  • Responsibility of P/L performance of the department, ensuring organizational profit and growth objectives are achieved
  • Collaborate with marketing personnel in creating and monitoring merchandising programs, marketing campaigns, effective brand communication and awareness in the region
  • Ensure that showrooms and displays are up to date and delivering exposure, awareness and sales for the business
  • Custodian of the customer journey through the sales process used by our distribution partners to take product to market in the region .
  • Manage the CRM system or business process, and ensure department is fully utilising the system or business process, established in the region
  • Develop effective KPI’s for optimum team performance, when required
  • Inspire and foster a high-performing sales culture
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of customer touch points and overall customer experience with Eva-Last.
  • Lead the brand to new heights.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct responsibility will be to grow sales volumes of existing product lines currently sold in market. See the effective launch of new products, through collaboration with our in-market distribution partners. Ensure effectiveness of products, merchandising, advertising and other sales enablement programs run through the dealer network. Build, lead and manage a Sales Team across all channels, once the business requires further sales employees in your region to ensure accountability and regional revenue and margin growth. Responsibilities once a sales team is in place will include, interviewing, hiring, and developing direct reports; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous learning and adaption to stay updated on industry advancements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the building materials industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior sales or sales management role, including experience managing independent sales representatives/groups.
  • Strong team leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong knowledge of and demonstrated success selling through multiple distribution channels specifically through building materials merchants, building contractors, building materials specifiers such as architects and building materials DIY retailers/wholesalers.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated success at selling differentiated products.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and trends to determine action.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver sales plans and hold people accountable to achieve their plans.
  • Pro-actively develop and execute solutions that satisfy the needs of the customer and the business.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various internal teams on projects and key Initiatives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to hire, develop and retain top talent.
  • Ability to calculate, prepare and be involved in pricing/discounting decisions.
  • Ability to manage up and down the organization.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and relevant marketplace; can speak with authority on industry trends, competitive practice, issues, etc

Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential.
