ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an experienced senior graphic designer to join our marketing department, as part of the creative team. They will be required to produce and manage artwork across various areas including digital and print collateral, in line with business requirements. The senior graphic designers’ responsibilities will include concept design, idea generation, delivery, and management of all graphic design projects in conjunction with marketing managers.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in a graphic design role, at a level where they have run their own business or managed full-suite studio. They should have superior knowledge of graphic design programmes across the Adobe Suite coupled with up-to-date knowledge of the most efficient design techniques. This role requires an individual that is efficient but has a high level of attention to detail and a keen eye for creative execution in line with brand CI’s. n.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None – however experience having managed a design team is advantageous.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Create and design an array of collateral for print and digital platforms both above and below the line.
  • Ability to generate layouts, designs, images, and other visual elements that effectively communicate a message or concept to a specified audience within brand CI.
  • Perform retouching and photoshopping of images.
  • Ability to pitch creative direction for the company as well as work within a prescribed brief or guideline.
  • Ensure project execution is of a superior standard and on schedule.
  • Reviewing internal briefs to ensure that all requirements are met before submission of work.
  • Excellent time management, ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail and able to check your work for accuracy and consistency before submission.
  • Interact with marketing managers and other internal stakeholders – where required – to understand requirements to execute timeously and accurately on creative business requirements.
  • The ability to work with various levels of seniority both within the business, as well as external customers / distributors when required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in graphic design.
  • Min of 8 years in a graphic design role.
  • Min of 3-5 years having either managed a creative team/ or having run own business.
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design programmes within the Adobe Suite.
  • Video editing capabilities advantageous.
  • Drivers Licence with own transport
